Flaming Out For the HOTTEST Man Ever

I left it in the refrigerator.

On the carton of eggs.

A post-it note message to my man.

For him to find.

Whenever.

Today is a special anniversary for MTM and me.

No, it isn’t the anniversary of the first time we had sex.

He said hello to me twelve years ago today.

I smiled and said hi.

So.

I’ve been leaving him notes around the house. Hiding cards under his pillow. Finding new ways to try to thank him, after all this time, for altering the course of my Life.

Only.

He made fun of this effort. Sort of.

Tell me, Dear Reader………..because I suck at drawing………..does my little picture look like fire? Because MTM didn’t know what it was. Even with HOTTEST in ALL CAPS.

hottest man ever

Thank you for saying hello, my Dear MTM.

  2. Little love notes. One of the secrets to a happy marriage. I’m going to have to sign with MTM on this one, Andra. More Simpsons head than camp fire. 😉

    July 30, 2014
  3. I thought Simpsons head and I don’t even watch the Simpsons. 🙂

    July 30, 2014
  4. Yep, a Simpsons head and I don’t watch it either.

  5. i love the notes and happy you smiled and said hi back. as for the fire picture….)

    July 30, 2014
  6. It kind of looks like the profile of Bart Simpson…but, anyways, I think the notes are awesome. 🙂

  7. I just wrote that comment without looking at the other ones first, so it really must be Bart Simpson.

I thought maple leaf first, sorry my friend.

    July 30, 2014
  9. Calvin of Calvin & Hobbes…

    July 30, 2014
    • That’s exactly what I thought. And then I thought: “That’s just too odd.”

      July 30, 2014
  10. Andra, you know I love ya, but I’m not seeing fire either…sorry!

    July 30, 2014
  11. We should stick to what we know, sweetie! 🙂 Your artfulness is/has been expressed in many arenas….drawing not so much!

    July 30, 2014
  12. I think that it looks like fire. I see it. [Is this some kind of Rorschach test?]

    July 30, 2014
  13. I see it … but then, you told me first, so maybe I was conditioned to seeing it. Hmmm

    July 30, 2014
  14. Ummmm… you are delightful. But that is a blob. Maybe a splat even. But fire, no.

    July 30, 2014
  15. Maintaining a discreet silence…

    July 30, 2014
  16. There is always room for love notes – and a little fire in the romance. 🙂
Sorry, but, I saw the Simpsons as well.

Bird dropping? Uh, no, too precise…hmmmmm, Sorry Andra…you are much better at painting a picture with words than you are drawing…but hey – that’s a good thing. 🙂

    My favorite lovebirds…you two are.

    July 30, 2014
  18. Looks like fire to me. But I took the context from HOTTEST.
So glad you celebrate this anniversary by leaving notes everywhere. 🙂

    July 30, 2014
  19. Not sure what I’d see if you hadn’t told me.

We share a date, today is my 20th wedding anniversary. That doesn’t look much like fire 🙂

    July 30, 2014
  21. haha…considering you ‘clued’ him in by using the word hottest – it proves yet again that while they are sweet and loving they. are. clueless. 🙂 ~Karen~

    July 30, 2014
  22. So sweet. And that is definitely a fire, an abstract, squiggly fire, but a fire nonetheless.

    July 30, 2014
  23. Perhaps a little red and orange would have gone a long way to elucidate the “sketch”. 😉

    July 30, 2014
  24. Yeah it look like fire. but who cares. If I got a note like this I woauld have been had at hottest.

True in many cases. I have noticed that most of your energy is focused on what is sent TO you and not much reciprocation. In fact, I cannot remember the last time you looked at my blog. It should be mutual admiration or what is the point? Reading your lusty post-it notes ? Tongue in cheek Andra . ♥ However still valid.

    July 30, 2014
  26. Awwww it is sweet that you leave him notes like that. I can’t remember the last time I did that for Katy. Hmmmmm

    July 30, 2014
  27. Context is all, Andra 🙂 As a teacher, I know that reading and understanding words and pictures we draw on all the evidence on the page. Thus, what else could that be but a sizzling flame?

    July 31, 2014
  28. How romantic and sweet and hot and sexy. 🙂 I love you but the flame looks more like a holy leaf. 🙂

    July 31, 2014
  29. It looks a little like the state of Texas. On fire. 🙂

Thought it was a arty doodle… now, take evidence and actually light it until the flame eats that corner, then there will be no doubt, teehee…

    July 31, 2014
  31. It looks a bit like a leaf on fire, but anyone who receives original art as a gift can’t complain! Happy anniversary!

  32. It looks like your pen stalled out and you tried to get it going again. 🙂

Still, it’s a pretty sweet thought.
